Hardwood Floor Cleaning in Dallas, TX

Deep cleaning for sealed wood floors, lifting off the cloudy residue that mop-and-shine products leave.

Hardwood Floor Cleaning in Dallas, TX

Most dull wood floors are not worn out — they are coated. Years of mop-and-shine products build a cloudy film that traps dirt and flattens the finish, and adding another coat of the same thing makes it worse. We clean with a low-moisture system that lifts that residue and the soil held in it without flooding the boards, because standing water is what makes wood cup and seams swell. One honest limit: this is cleaning, not refinishing. We can take a floor back to the finish it actually has, but scratches that have gone through the finish need a sander, not us, and we will say so before you book.

Hardwood Floor Cleaning questions

Will this get rid of the scratches?

No, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling you something. Cleaning removes the film and soil sitting on top of the finish, which is what makes most floors look dull. Scratches that have gone through the finish into the wood need sanding and refinishing, which is a different trade.

Is it safe for engineered or laminate floors?

Engineered wood with a sound factory finish, usually yes. Laminate, and wood that is unsealed or waxed, are different and we check first — the wrong method on those causes swelling at the seams that cannot be undone. We always test a hidden area before we start.

How soon can I walk on it and put the rugs back?

Walk on it in an hour or two, in clean socks. Leave rugs and furniture pads off for 24 hours so the floor breathes and nothing prints into it while it finishes curing.
